Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what Vela collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Vela is a focus tool, so we gather as little as possible to run the service well.
What we collect
Account details such as your name and email; focus data such as session times and the block rules you set; and basic device and usage information that keeps the app working and secure.
How we use it
To provide and sync your focus sessions across devices, to keep your account safe, to respond when you contact us, and to improve the product over time.
What we never do
We never sell your data, and we never read the content of your work or the sites you block to train models or target advertising.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run Vela under strict contracts, or when the law requires it. We do not use third-party advertising networks.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you close your account we delete it within 30 days, except where we must retain records to meet a legal obligation.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time. Email privacy@vela.app and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to the people who need it to operate the service.
Changes
If we update this policy we will post the new version here and change the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
